affectiveCinema2 is an interactive video installation.
The order and parameters of image and sound shown on the video are influenced according to the visitor’s measured emotional response to displayed video clips. Players see more important video scenes the stronger they react and understand more of a secret system, where abstract characters and objects tell a situation of social dependencies and connections.
There is an abstract spatial situation: only elements like windows, doors, cars, etc. are placed in a wide unlimitedwhite space: no walls or environmental elements. The sound has the important function to create that space in the human mind and to cause additional emotional reactions.
